What is basing?
Phases in webdevelopment
You can roughly classify web development into three development phases. Web design, basing and programming.

Basing: 2 steps
Basing has 2 steps. First you slice the design using the photoshop slicing tool. You optimize the images and you save them in the images directory of the site. This step is called 'slicing'
The second step is the actual 'basing'. The creation of the 'basic' html pages. We use html 5, css and javascript.
CMS basing
A third step may follow in which we use the basic html documents and integrate them into a cms like Joomla, Wordpress or Magento. This step is called a 'CMS basing'.
